Terms of Service

Spintale is an AI-powered mobile app that lets parents and guardians co-create personalised, illustrated bedtime stories with their children. These terms govern your use of the Spintale app and website.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Spintale.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the story inputs you provide, including character names, descriptions, settings, and adventure goals.

AI-generated outputs - including prose, illustrations, and audio narration - are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. This licence is valid for as long as you have an active account and subject to any lawful deletion or moderation action.

You may screenshot, screen-record, or share stories using the app's built-in sharing features.

Our Licence

By using Spintale, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, cache, and deliver your stories within the app, and to moderate and review content for safety compliance.

Stories shared to the Discover feed may be used in anonymous marketing materials without attribution. This licence survives account deletion for content already shared to Discover.

Data Portability

You can request a copy of your data at any time by emailing support@spintale.app. We will provide your data export within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Article 20.

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by Spintale directly. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings after purchase.
• If you purchase a subscription during a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the point of purchase.

You must not use Spintale to:

• Generate content that is violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or harmful to children
• Attempt to bypass content moderation filters
• Use the app for any commercial purpose, including reselling generated stories or print-on-demand arbitrage
• Create stories that infringe on third-party intellectual property (e.g. using copyrighted characters)
• Share stories to Discover that contain real children's full names or identifying information

We reserve the right to remove shared stories and suspend accounts that violate these terms. Automated moderation is applied before and after story generation.

• AI-generated content is provided "as is". We do not guarantee factual accuracy, educational value, or suitability for any specific child.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing stories before sharing them with children.
• Spintale is not liable for any distress caused by AI-generated content, despite our best-effort moderation.
• Service availability is not guaranteed. Planned maintenance and third-party outages may interrupt story generation.

• You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
• Spintale is intended for use by parents and guardians, not directly by children.
• You are responsible for supervising your children's interaction with generated content.
• No child accounts exist. All data is stored under the parent's or guardian's account.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Spintale after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
